Our School Prospectus
The vision of Casuarina School is to nurture the children in the spiritual, artistic and intellectual environment of Rudolf Steiner Education.
We endeavour to educate head, heart and hands in every child so that a harmony in all three may be achieved as the foundation for balanced and free human beings.
The children are encouraged to be innovative and are guided towards self responsibility while being mindful of the rights of others.
The Enrolment Process
The first stage of the enrolment process is to contact Casuarina with your family’s details. This can either be done via our online contact form on our website.
Book into a school tour and information session. This session will inform you about the education Casuarina Steiner School offers and provides the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. It’s a good idea for both parents/carers to attend this session and if you want to bring your child/children that’s a good idea also. You will see the classes in operation and probably see the students at play.

Our school operates a Waitlist system. To be considered for a postion at our school please complete our Waitlist Application Form via the online link to join our Parent Portal. When a position becomes available you will be booked into an interview with the prospective class teacher for each child. At the interview, the class teacher will explore your child’s development to the present time and the capacity to meet your child’s needs.
The teacher will then advise if there is a place for your child and negotiate a starting date that suits everyone best. You will be sent a letter of offer and asked to complete the necessary Enrolment Application via our online link.
On payment of the Enrolment Fee your child is ready to start at our school. He or she will be provided all necessary class materials included in our Fee Structure.
Waiting List
The school maintains waiting lists when either the child is too young to be assessed for enrollment or the relevant class has no vacancies.
A non-refundable fee will apply for placement on the waiting list. This does not entitle the child to enrollment.
Assessment of the enrollment must still occur when the child is of age or a place becomes available.
School Fees
Fees and charges are reviewed by the Board annually.
Bursaries
We understand that sometimes difficult situations arise that call for additional financial support. At Casuarina Steiner School we offer a limited Bursary Program. For any difficulties with your financial situation please contact our Business Manager
School Employment
We’re currently looking for Cello Teacher, one day per week, preferably Wednesday but we are open to negotiation. Please note you do not need to be a qualified Teacher for this position.
